August 16, 1999

The Board of Supervisors of Pennsbury Township held a regular meeting on Monday, August 16, 1999. Present were Messrs. Reynolds, Patten, MaryAnna Ralph and Kathy Howley and the minutes were approved as submitted.

MANAGER REPORT

Ms. Howley reported the following:

A letter was received from Unionville Rec. Assn. requesting financial support for their organization. They would also hope to use our park, when ready, for practice and playing fields. It was noted that the previous basketball season had 150 Pennsbury families participate. The supervisors said they would consider financial aid during budget review in October and would hope that URA members would be willing to physically work on preparing our fields in the future. They also hope that other townships would be willing and able to assist financially to their organization.

Rt. 52 Bailey property - Mr. Patten will get with Mr. Allen to contact Mr. Bailey on the proposed work to be done at the intersection of Hickory Hill & Rt. 52.

Mr. Patten reported that the Geewax restrictions have been recorded with the agreement. Also, the work being done on the barn is progressing but Mr. Drumheller stated unless he gets the proper plans, he will shut down the job. Mrs. Ralph reported that Mr. Geewax has to get a variance from L&I to use board and batten over stucco as required.

ROADMASTER

Mr. Allen reported the following:

Oil & chipping has started on township roads by Gorman Brothers which, so far, has not been satisfactory. Will meet with them tomorrow to get things resolved.

Line painting will begin when the roads are done.

Working on the electrical hook up for the well pump in the park. The conduit has been laid and plumber is determining what he needs to get it up and running. The well should be working in time for the balloon festival.

Stone Subdivision - Mr. Stone was present to obtain approvals for his subdivision. He is buying a piece of land from Mr. Mendenhall for add to his property and selling a portion of his property to his neighbor on the other side. There is being done to preserve his view - no building intended. Comments from our Planning Commission and County were reviewed. When the deeds are changed and approvals from the Health Dept. are received, the supervisors will sign the plans.

A bill list dated August 16th numbering 1310-1341 was submitted and approved for payment by the Board. With no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.

Respectfully submitted: Kathleen Howley, Township Manager
